A Quick Guide to the Dual Cap Dek™

1: Quikclik™ your Cap Dek™ into place on your press. To do so, position the Cap Dek™ (trapezoidal pads in front to the left) over the Quikclik™ plate. Line up the holes on the
bottom of the Dek™ to match circular dowels of the
Quikclik™ plate . When the Dek™ and plate are paired, push the Dek™ toward the press to lock it into place.

2: Be sure that your Cap Dek™ is fastened to your press on the
proper side and orientation. If facing the press, the dual Cap Dek™ must be on the left pedestal with the trapezoidal Deks on the left for the cap bills to be out of the way. For a 238 model iDek, make sure the Heat Dek™ is in
portrait position.
(If using a 340 model, visually align the heat
Dek™ over the cap Dek™ providing clearance for the bill.)

3: Set the amount of pressure desired by turning the height
adjustment knob located on the underside of the pedestal. Move the upper heat Dek™ over the Cap Dek™. Bring the handle to the lowered position to test tension. Adjust
accordingly. Raise the heating element and slide the arm away from the Cap Dek™.

4: Pull the sweatband away from the cap.

5: Place the back of the cap through the opening in the Dek™ so that the front will be pulled over the trapezoidal shaped Dek™.

6: Pull the cap down so that the front panel(s)* of the cap can be centered on the trapezoidal shaped Dek™.

7: Place the transfer on the front panel(s)* of the cap(7). The transfer may be heat taped to the cap if needed. If the transfer is on opaque paper with no backing, cover it with a Teflon coated sheet before
pressing. If the transfer has a carrier sheet, no Teflon sheet is needed. A teflon pillow may be used for sublimation processing.
* The process is the same for 5 and 6 panel caps,
but the transfer will either be on single or multiple panels.

8: Slide the heat Dek™ into position and press the cap(s).
