Electronic Features

1. Digital Control Program Features

• Digital controller and microprocessor for electronic programming with superior performance and process management.

• The Press automatically times the appropriate transfer duration for each Program for type of transfer. The display shows the countdown time or Press Cycles

• When the timer countdown is done the alarm chirps and the display flashes “DONE”.

• The first “cycle done” chirp is mutable for users who find it annoying.

• If the Heat Platen is not raised when the cycle is done the following alarms occur:

       - 10 seconds late – 2 beeps
       - 30 seconds late 5 beeps
       - 40 seconds late - 20 beeps
       - 60 seconds late - alarm stops and system resets to 250F
       - 6 minutes late – system shuts down completely

• The IDek Press has 3 preset, customizable Programs for convenience

       - P1 350 deg F 20 sec Vinyl Materials
       - P2 375 deg F 15 sec Ink Jet Transfers
       - P3 400 deg F 30 sec Sublimation

• P1, P2, P3 settings (above) can be customized

       - Depressing the “PROG” key for 3 seconds allows the current temp and time settings to be edited using the up/down arrow keys. Exiting the programming session (Program key for 3 seconds) stores the new values.

• Manual Mode

       - Time and Temp settings are at the immediate control of the user by depressing the “TIME” or “TEMP” key and the “UP”/ “DOWN” arrows keys.

       - Low temp setting from 200 deg F to 410 deg F

• Cycle Counter allows for tracking of production quantity

       - Viewable by pressing “TIME” and “TEMP” together.

       - Reset by pressing the “UP” and “DOWN” arrow keys together for 3 seconds.

• Display

       - Toggles to show current Time or Temp setting.

       - Visually shows the cycle count down

       - Automatically switches to the cycle count down (if showing Temp) when a press cycle is initiated

       - Blinks to show the Press is working to reach a new temp setting. (Blinks the actual current temp value, allowing user to monitor progress).

       - Blinking stops and alarm chirps to indicate set point is reached

• System Settings Menu allows user control of functions:

       - Volume Level – allows adjustment of audible alarm volume

       - Alarm On/Off”) – allows first “cycle done” alarm to be muted

       - Offset – allows calibration of the Heat Platen to the Display

2. Digital Controller of Heat Platen

• Digital controller and microprocessor for electronic programming with superior performance and control.

• Efficient 14 x 17 size uses less energy while accommodating 95% of the transfer market size requirements by virtue of the Portrait – Landscape rotation feature.

• Quick preheat to 250 F (15 minutes) allows starting work faster

• Change to new heat settings in 5 minutes allows running different types of transfers without delay

• “SMART” microprocessor - CPU 2.14 constantly monitors and updates Platen temperature readings using STATE OF THE ART RTD SENSOR for temperature stability.

• Temp setting accuracy of +/- 1 degree F minimizes rejects

• Low Alarm - alerts user of below normal temp (200 F)

• High Alarm – alerts user to above normal temp (425 F)

3. Safety Features

• Allow for a safer work environment.

• 60 seconds late raising Heat Platen - alarm stops and system resets to 210 deg F

• 6 minutes late raising Heat Platen– system shuts down completely

• Auto temperature reduction to 210 F after 180 minutes of inattention.– This feature relates to the press left unattended with the platen in the Up position.

• “Overheat Mode” safety feature setting of 450 F at which point the Press will automatically power down completely. This safety feature will operate regardless of whether the platen is in a raised or lowered position.
